Tucson economy: Median Household Income

In 2015, the Tucson MSA’s median household income was $46,162, while the poverty rate was 19.3%. Compared to peer metropolitan regions, and the nation, Tucson’s income was low and its poverty rate was high. Both measures tell us about the financial resources available to households and the economic performance of our region. Married-couple families in Tucson registered median household income of $71,998, compared to $35,633 for male-headed households (no spouse present), and $23,659 for female-headed households (no spouse present).
