In 2016, Tucson ranked 10th among peer western metropolitan areas in the number of residents employed in a creative occupation. MAP’s newest indicator, Creative Occupations, explores employment levels and wages for those in creative fields. Workers in creative occupations are engaged in the creation of new ideas, technologies, and expressions and are an integral part of the innovative process driving local growth.
